Yinto Your PJs is a 75-minute yin yoga practice designed to bring some deep calm and comfort to the body, mind and soul. This is the ultimate nervous system regulation practice. I have described it in the past as the perfect combination of a massage, a therapy session and a heart-to-heart with your best friend. When you are feeling disconnected, and just a little bit far from who you are, Yinto Your PJs will help you find home within your body once again.

You are invited to be ready for bed for this practice. There is no obligation to be seen or to even have your camera on. This is your intimate practice space, facilitated by Grace Tempany, but in the comfort of your own home.

Props are often required: a bolster or a couple of cushions, a blanket, a yoga block or a couple of hard back books. From time to time, we use a yoga strap and some tennis balls for myofascial release & myo-yin.

Suitable for all. All parts are welcome.

Myofascial Release and Myo-Yin

Myofascial release (MFR) offered as a combination practice, of varying lengths. Usually between 30-45 minutes, MFR is designed to fit more easily into your schedule. ISFYT encourages MFR as the perfect practice when you are somewhat time poor: It’s energising, it brings so much deep TLC to the issues in your tissues that it’s nearly as effective as a massage! You won’t find a more effective practice to get right into those sneaky knots that you find it hard to relieve tension in.

MFR is suitable for all. There is no obligation to be seen or to even have your camera on. This is your intimate practice space, faciliated by Grace Tempany, but in the comfort of your own home.

Props are often needed this practice, especially when myo-yin (a contemporary practice which blends yin poses and myofascial relase): a bolster or a couple of cushions, a blanket, a yoga block or a couple of hard back books, and a strap.

In every practice, you will need two tennis balls or myofascial release balls.

Yoga Nidrā

Yoga Nidra is a form of guided meditation or yogic sleep. It is a very ancient technique where you enter deep states of conscious relaxation. It is designed to improve sleep, relieve stress and boost energy and creativity.

“To speak about doing yoga nidrā is a contradiction, because in the state of yoga nidrā there is absolutely nothing to be done: Yoga nidrā is in fact a state of non-doing. All contemporary techniques to yoga nidrā are basically techniques to be practices to access states of awareness that naturally arise effortlessly. You cannot do yoga nidrā, because yoga nidrā is a state of being, not doing. The processes of doing yoga nidrā lead us into the state of being in yoga nidrā.” (Uma Dinsmore-Tuli - Yoga Nidrā Made Easy)

Most people practise yoga nidrā lying down. You may like a pillow or a cushion under your knees, and a folded blanket under your head, and a blanket over you. Many appreciate an eye pillow, or some extra props. Most yoga nidrā practices are between 10-45 minutes. Choose the duration which suits your convenience.

Seasonal Workshops

Workshops primarily serve those who understand that the yin time warp is real! 75 minutes for Yinto Your PJs might sound long, but they can fly by. To have 120-150 minutes to dive deep into the practice makes a big difference, and provides more opportunities for themes to be explored.

There is usually something to appeal to everyone, whatever the main benefit they feel from their practice, be it physical, emotional, or mental.

Workshops are suitable for all. There is no obligation to be seen or to even have your camera on. This is your intimate practice space, faciliated by Grace Tempany, but in the comfort of your own home.

Props are required for workshops: a bolster or a couple of cushions, a blanket, a yoga block or a couple of hard back books. From time to time, we use a yoga strap and some tennis balls for myofascial release & myo-yin focused practices.

Workshops on Demand

  • Autumnal Insights: The Art of Letting Go [2 Hours]

    Autumn's element metal is master of holding, without holding on. We can be inspired by this transformational capacity when we come to our yin practice. Upper body therapy, self-compassion, and soul-care are in store.

  • Full Moon Yinspiration [2 hours]

    This workshop aligned with February 2023’s full moon on Sunday 5th, but the full moon themes can be explored every month. You might like to have a journal close to hand, in case yinspiration should strike.

  • MyoYin & Myofascial Release: A Complete Body Tonic [2.5 Hours]

    This workshop offers you a full body grounding in the therapeutic practices of myo-yin and myofascial release. 2 Tennis Balls (or myofascial release balls) and a Yoga Block are needed. A yoga strap would be handy too.
